California Friendly Plants Talk at the OHG Education Farm

Is your California Friendly landscape not as beautiful as it should or could be? Join us and learn the basics of maintaining your new century garden. Irrigation, weeding and landscape renewal will be covered in detail. Douglas Kent, a noted horticulturalist and author, will speak from his latest book, California Friendly: A maintenance guide for landscapers, gardeners and land managers. This book is free and can be downloaded from bewaterwise.com. Several hardcopies will be raffled off at the end of the presentation.
Bio
Douglas Kent has been gardening since 14 years old and has extensive experience in ecological land management. He has two master degrees in land management; has participated in hundreds of landscape projects; and has written six books, over 50 articles, and four statewide public education campaigns. Doug teaches at California Polytechnic University, Pomona, within the departments of Landscape Architecture and Regenerative Studies. Kent’s work has been featured in the Fine GardeningSunset Magazine, HGTV, Los Angeles TimesSan Francisco ChronicleNational Wildlife, and CNN Comcast. Doug is an impassioned speaker and his presentations are as educational as fun.
