Exclusive private farm to table dinner on the grounds of a beautifully restored historic residence in the heart of Old Towne Orange on Friday March 31st at 6pm. Guest speaker Will Allen, urban farmer, author, healthy food advocate, and founder of the nonprofit Growing Power, based in Milwaukee, will share his passion and knowledge with guests on creating community through urban food systems.
The meal will be prepared by one of Orange County’s premier chef’s: Executive Chef Greg Daniels, owner of Haven Gastropub and Provisions Market. Food sourced locally from farmers that participate in the Orange Home Grown Farmers & Artisans Market, and the OHG Education Farm.
This will be a once in a lifetime opportunity as the seats are limited to 50 guests. This in an event to meet both Mr. Allen and Executive Chef Greg Daniels personally and connect one-on-one.
This event is a fundraising opportunity to support the grass-roots efforts of Orange Home Grown (OHG). OHG provides a weekly community based farmer’s market, a community based education farm for hands-on learning, the Orange Seed Lending Library in partnership with the Orange Public Library Foundation, annual OHG Scholarship Program, and coming soon, the OHG Youth Food Literacy Program Sponsored by the Picerne Family Foundation.
General admission is $200 per guest. There are also $1,500 sponsorship opportunities that include 2 seats at the table, an autographed book by Mr. Allen, a professional photograph taken with Mr. Allen during the event, a seat next to Mr. Allen at the dinner, and your name/business name on a plaque at the farm, along with printed and verbal recognition at the event.
