The Master Food Preserver (MFP) program is a public service community outreach providing up-to-date information on food safety and preservation. A Master Food Preserver is a volunteer who is formally educated in food preservation/food safety and is certified by a university cooperative extension.
A Master Food Preserver will be at the OHG Education Farm on October 28th from 10-11:30am teaching a food preservation/food safety event free to the community. Attendees will learn first hand how to can sweet pickled carrots. Come out and learn how to preserve the food you purchase from the farmer’s market or grow in your garden.
