About the event

This class is sponsored by the The UCCE Master Food Preserver Program. This is part of a countrywide effort by the USDA (United States Department of Agriculture) to raise public awareness and promote safe food practices at home. This particular class will focus on "Citrus Sweet and Savory".  Our master Preserver with demo lemons preserved in salt,  candied orange peel and citrus simple syrup. All of these recipes go along with the concept of zero waste cooking. They are also seasonal.

Food safety along with providing an on-site preserving demonstration will be part of this class. If you have always wanted to learn more about preserving your own food, this is a great FREE class for you! Come out and meet someone new at the OHG Education Farm.
